Forums - Nintendo - Good Wii games besides the usual nintendo franchises & MiniGameCollections

Alot of people get a wii due to its unike controlling system, and the best way to test it, is done with those MiniGameCollections (MGC) aka "casual games". thats why they sell as hell.
Remember how amazed u where the first time u played wii sports (even alone)?
I bought another MGC afterwards and rented 2 more... but then i got bored...

so i think the MGC is like the dot.com bubble, its going to explode within next 1-2 years (dont get my wrong, the good 1s will survive and get 2nd, 3rd and 4th parts but the quantity of MGC will decrease rapidly) and whats left then? the usual outstanding nintendo franchises of course (almost every game named with mario or zelda, metroid,...) but what else?

Resident Evil of course

Wii Fit (maybe aswell seen as a MGC but still different with that board)

Zack&Wiki

No more Heroes

Feel free to add games to my list and comment my thoughts.

Trauma Center.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

While I haven't personally tried these games myself. The Godfather and SSX Blur were two games that received very good reviews and used the controller in a unique and fun way. That might be a good place to start.

Oh wait, no. Start with Zack & Wiki. That really is in my top 10 list of all time favourite games.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Zack and Wiki, already played it! Loved it, adored it, already waiting 4 a se/prequel.

IMO best game on wii, no doubt about it

Some people really liked Dewy's Adventure.

 Skip it...in favor of Elebits.

The story/voice acting are atrocious...but the gameplay is amazing.

Resident Evil games

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

That thread, and take out the Nintendo games... Come on, it's at the top of the page.

In addition to yours: I really like Elebits, Excite Truck, Medal of Honor: Heroes 2, Guitar Hero III (does that count as obvious?).

I kinda liked Godfather, Lego Star Wars, Blazing Angels (I know everyone else hates it), Sonic and the Secret Rings, Endless Ocean, Tomb Raider, Geometry Wars, Kororinpa. I still haven't played mercury meltdown, SSX, or Trauma Center.

(Edit:  I also haven't played/want to try: BWii, Fire Emblem.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Mercury Meltdown is a better game then Dewey sadly...

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.
