Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Top 10 Failures in Nintendo History - AlterGamer

How about
10. Their current Virtual Consoles
9. Not sealing a 25bn dollar deal with Microsoft in 1999
8. GameBoy Micro
7. Not investing enough in new IP's that are good (ex. losing a Skylanders opportunity)
6. N64 cusing cartridges
5. Wii U marketing
4. Having poor launches with a crappy 6 months + following
3. N64 DD
2. Virtual Boy
1. Creating PlayStation
I think the PlayStation is their ultimate failure. It's been their biggest competition ever for years

XBOX ONE/Wii U/3DS/PC

RIP Iwata 12/6/1959-7/11/2015

Thanks for all the great memories!

What?

Most of that list maked no sense. Is the PS3 a failure because it sold around half of the PS2? No!

None of those are failures.

That writer seems to believe Philips was an american company, it isn't, it's dutch.

I agree with the top 5 for sure although there are some things listed in the top 10 that aren't failures.

Virtual Boy should be #1 for being one of the only consoles (or handheld I guess) that could burn your retina and make you feel sick for just playing it.

This article is pure trash.

Quote from number 7 is, "The Playstation 2 was released way back in the year 2000. Hard to think that far back considering how many changes have gripped the world since then. But back then, Sony had the foresight to include DSL ports in the console to allow for online play."

It must be hard to remember that far back I guess, cause the PS2 did not come with a DSL port.
