The DS4 is way too expensive for it to have such poor battery life. I haven't charged my Pro Controller since Summer.

i get the 8-9 hours everyone else get.

i have 2 controllers so i charge 1 while playing with the other.

if you aren't using the ps4 and the cord that came with your ps4 that might be your problem. other devices might not have the right voltages and you may have fried your battery that way.

The LED is really not to blame for the battery life

The Wii U Pro Controller lasts for some 80 hours on a single charge..

Its probably just faulty controllers. I find the Wii U gamepad to be annoying to play on since I only get 3hrs on it before the battery finishes.

Compared to the DS3 it does have a very short battery life. Might be the big ass flashlight on the front of it...

You should be getting at least 8 hours per controller. Your controllers are defective.

it very well may not be that low, i never timed it. i doubt they are faulty as I got the second controller at a different time (obviously) but these things don't last as long as a PS3 remote or 360/ONE. They really need to impove this as it's my only real gripe with the console. Oh yeah and the fact that I can't find any friends out of the 15.1 million units out there :(

I'm using the cord that came with the console right now.  Was thinking about investing in a craddle charger sold by Sony
