Forums - Sales - UK Charts Week Ending 22 November 2014

Halo drop looks really bad. Assasin's Creed (both versions) and FIFA (One and 360 versions) are higher. Would love to see numbers. Online issues really hurt its potential.

I guess we need a definition for domination as I think it is kind of misused here quite often.

Ok.

You have 5 big smartphone players (just exemples): Apple, Samsumg, LG, Sony and HTC.

Apple got 43% of the market.

What that mean?

The word is used for what it is.

Apple has less than 20%... wtf are you talking about?  Samsung is top with a steady 40% plus.

And why the hell is Sony in there? lol.  Its not even top 7.

you cant compare a market with many players to a market with 2 (or 3)

Bias

I wouldn't be surprised if he had used brazilian numbers.

He said it was an example...

That means 43% is 43%. Is that domination? Domination, in my opinion, is leaving the competition no chance whatsoever and I just don't see it in UKs case. Having bigger numbers is not domination.

You have 5 players and you have 43% of the market? It is domination for me.

But I understand your point because a lot of analists doesn't accept dominance before 50% of the market like the Far Cry 4 case.

That won't change nothing to the point... the numbers are created for the pourpose to show a case of dominance.

I could use A, B, C, D and E lol

too late. a stealth edit wont help im afraid....

dont call me a liar again

there is none or next to zero advertising in the mainstream media for this game.

Late? lol

Stop to spin and everything will be fine... just accept the reality.

yes you called me a lair, then obviously panicked and editied it to prevent a ban.

Yeah he does that a lot. Did it to me in the Amazon thread.

Nope lol

I never tried to prevent a ban here... go and report.

Thinking about it, I doubt its even top 10 now... so it was a very bad (biased) example.

I don't know about you, but using Sony in an example does not seem biased to me at all. He specifically said "examples". He's just saying that having 43% of the sales on 5 platforms is domination to him.

No, this is market leading, not dominance.

From http://www.thefreedictionary.com/dominate:

1. To control, govern, or rule by superior authority or power: Successful leaders dominate events rather than react to them.
2. To exert a supreme, guiding influence on or over: Ambition dominated their lives.
3. To enjoy a commanding, controlling position in: a drug company that dominates the tranquilizer market.
4. To overlook from a height: a view from the cliffside chalet that dominates the valley.
I don't see anything fitting for PS4. No controlling nor commanding position right now.
