Anyone else notice how he intentionally avoids saying Sony and Microsoft? lol

yes I did, he didn't have any problem mentioning steam but refer to Sony and Microsoft as the "competitors"

Who gives a f*** about Nintendo's situation. They are on fire with the exclusives right now. I love them for that. The library's quality post Wii is going to be ten times greater despite the lack of sales.

Dooomed Nintendo = Best Nintendo :P

Decent interview but the arrogance level was disappointing. :/

I wasn't seeing any arrogance from reggie.  Not sure what you're referring to. Was it because he mentioned the quality of their games?  Because focusing on quality is something that we as gamers should be capable of rewarding.

Yeah..  He didn't want to come off as attacking them so he avoided mentioning them specifically. He was trying to be nice while still doing his job of promoting what Nintendo is delivering.

I mean, it was warranted with the Wii and DS, but now...

This was a really good interview. Not going to lie, I am very interested in getting a WiiU, but I am just unwilling to spend $350+ to do so.

I know at some point I will have one (Just chedk the sig, I own every home console except a WiiU), possibly next holiday season or maybe even in the summer. Their level of high quality games recently is uncontested. How could you not love Nintendo when they are against the ropes? When dominating with the Wii it seemed like they just sat back and cruised. Now it seems they are working hard to provide content to drive sales.

I love that.

I just hope the level of quality is maintainable. They have a lot of games coming to wiiu next year.  I'm not worried about Zelda U and Xenoblade Chronicles X but if games like Star Fox, Devil's Third, and Splatoon end up being mid 8's or higher meta critic i'm going to be amazed. Not because I don't have high hopes for these games but just because of the respect level i will have for the quality and quantity of releases.

What does it matter?  Nintendo is not competing directly against anyone with their products. Nintendo can be hugely successfull in their own right without ever have a console which outsells Sony and Microsofts offerings.

Which is one of the reasons why the N64 was one of my favorite consoles. They were forced to push their boundaries to keep the quality up for lack of third party. The Most complete Nintendo Library with quality all around from all parties hasnt been around since the SNES though.

They could be, but they aren't. I have no doubt that Nintendo could be very profitable if they sell around N64 levels, but they won't with the Wii U. 3DS is doing average, but it could certainly be better.

Nintendo and thier exclusives are just, awesome.

Bayonetta, Devil's Third. I like seeing 3rd party exclusives especially if they are more towards the core gamer! :D
