Best Remaster---Halo: The Master Chief Collection

Best Action/Adventure Game---Sunset Overdrive

Best Fighting Game----Killer Instinct: Season Two

Best Sports/Racing Game---Mario Kart 8

Best Shooter----Titanfall

Best Family Game----Fantasia: Music Evolved

This is not only debatable, but it begs the question, have you played all the games or even the ones nominated to make such a claim? I haven't and I found Child of LIght's the best, but only from the ones I have played, so I wouldn't call it by far the best.

These comments made me listen to the first hour of the OST on youtube. I liked the underwater version of one song and the boss song (even though it drug on about 90 seconds too long).

Man, we're not saying Nintendo is the only good developer out there. Most of the opinions shared by Nintendo fans over this topic could relate to anybody. Everybody knows Ubisoft shouldn't nominated in the Best Developer category this year, with what happened with Unity and Watch_Dogs.

Nintendo had at least this year 3 of their major games topping 85+ on Metacritic. Almost no games this year reached 90+, but Bayonetta 2 stands at 91 and Smash Bros. at 92.

Tropical Freeze's soundtrack has been vastly lauded among critics and fans all over the world. Not being in the best soundtrack category is a crime. Seeing Nintendo being snubbed that much pains me so much.

Nintendo delievered this year and they deserve more recognition on that matter. That's why we rant. Because we must give Caesar what is Caesar's.

At the same time if we look on the objective side of things, what should soundtracks being nominated for? Variety? Catchiness of the songs? Rightful use of them? Should they be praised for their versatility, their influence? Their emotional power? We can both agree about the fact that the soundtrack of DKCTF answers positively to all those questions, as much as those nominated in the category. Who could say otherwise? If it gathers so much appreciation among the players and the critics, why has it been put away from that category? Why doesn't it fit in? Because it was released earlier this year? If a lot of people agree on the quality of Tropical Freeze's soundtrack, hence the majority, therefore it means probably it is regarded as a great soundtrack.

Then, why the criminal omission? I've played Destiny and Child of Light, of course the music is beautiful. Maybe DK should not win, but being nominated was the least of the things. I feel like this list will be updated sooner rather than later.
