Review in progress is for game with large online component like Destiny and Halo MCC. 

There actually was a patch installed, but it was a day zero patch, not the day one patch. She mentions this in the body of the review. Quote from the review:

Across two PlayStation 4 systems, my (already patched) game encountered frequent frame rate stuttering, crashed multiple times and glitched out so I couldn’t respawn after dying. I fell through levels into floaty purgatory twice, and some of the plentiful loading screens became stuck. Twice during a boss chase, my co-op partner and I were left stranded after spawning mid-way through the level, because the level hadn’t reset itself. Again, this is with the zero-day patch installed.

No, I am not trying to cause a stir unless by stir you mean my attempt to point out that review embargos to day-of-launch are a shitty practice especially when you have a buggy game that was knowingly printed to disc buggy. That's just shitty practice no matter how you slice it.

Also IGN isn't the only reviewer noting bugs.

Well 79 is good, above avarage, its not the best platformer but I think it deserves a high score maybe 85. The best platformers for this year are indies.

but not to the same extent as other games that have scored higher.   and again there is a day 1 patch.    she opted not to play after that one, like half a job. If i skipped a portion of my work i would hear about it from my boss.  i wonder if she will.

Another broken game of this month hmm. Wont be surprised if it goes down to 75.
