Wow, scores all over the place, I guess it will settle barely in the green (75-77).

I doubt that reviews can hurt this game much, as parents will buy it for their kids without much scrutiny. As long as they fix the bugs in a patch.
It is just inexcusable that almost every game ships broken, the reviews will soon start giving +10 for "game not broken at launch".

We bought LBP1 and 2. But because my boys are now much older we're unlikely to buy LBP3, and probably wouldn't even if it had a metascore in the 90s.

My older son is into MOBAs primarily now, with a side interest in the action stuff like inFamous and Shadow of Mordor. My younger Son is also more into the adventure stuff and RPGs like Dragon Age. There seems to be no room for LPB, at least not in the immediate future. I just hope it stays high enough in the metascore to qualify for a PS+ release in a year or two.

Just a cheap way for IGN to get more clicks imo, and yeah it's pretty much for the big games. 

I know. But the game went gold, as in printed to disc, broken. That's never a good sign nor is the on-day embargo.

Review embargo to launch day with a game that was printed-to-disc buggy (hence why it needs a Day 1 patch to be fixed) has nothing to do with reviewers. Game was put to disc before being fully baked.

Lucy is getting a hate train on twitter for her review. People need to stop losing their crap over a review being lower than what they expected.

unless they want reviewers to review the game when they have the patch, it actually makes lots of sense.  your just trying to cause a stir.  your entire demeanor in this thread has showed it. you came in, you picked a review that is already getting flak for not using the patch, and you jump on it, with the day 1 embargo and try to ruffle feathers.

They have a day-one patch that the reviewers did not get yet.  In the case IGN though, the reviewer refused to download the patch and see if it made any difference. Pretty stupid tbh.
