Forums - Gaming - PS4 just passed Xbox One on the Amazon Best Sellers List

It took 2 multiplat marketing deals (GTA V and Far Cry 4) as well as an exclusive (Little Big Planet 3) for PS4 to pass Xbox One, and even then it just barely passed it. Xbox One had a pretty big lead the last 2 weeks. Considering the kind of Black Friday deals Xbox One has there's a very strong chance it'll still take November NPD.

And it only took 2 multiplat marketing deals (CoD:AW and AC:U) as well as an exclusive (SO) as well as a price drop for Xbox One to beat PS4, and that's quickly falling off, all the while PS4 gets back on top, still at the $400 it launched for.

Where are you going with this?

Maybe post a link?

When I look at that link Xbox AC is above PS4... *shrugs*

Now thats funny right there.

Mine shows the same

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

Sony still has 3 bundles that aren't even out, yet.  Can't wait to see people's reaction to Amazon charts when they finally do release.

Were those ever confirmed for North America? Thought they were Europe only. There's a strong chance that MS has new bundles in the works as well, they didn't do a bundle for Dragon Age which they have a marketing deal for, and they also didn't do a bundle for Halo:MCC, I could see a bundle for one or the other coming in December, maybe both games in one bundle.

Yes, they were confirmed for Black Friday.  Well, 2 of the 3 (GTA5 + TLOU and LBP3 + Lego:Batman.)  However, I don't see why they wouldn't bring the Far Cry Bundle over, eventually.  Of course, we're only talking about Amazon here.  If we look at two of the other big game retailers, Walmart and Gamestop, they have both had the PS4 over the XBO for the past few weeks.  On Gamestop, the PS4 is currently #42, while the COD XBO is #52.  Destiny sits at #59, while the next XBO SKU is only #76.  Walmart, if you only look up PS4 and XBO bestselllers, has the PS4 at #1, #11, #12, #18, and #21 in the Top 25.  The XBO takes up #2, #3, #4, and #13.  Again, Sony has at least 2 more bundles launching next week, while I believe MS shot its wad for Nov.  They only have $20 off of their current price for the Standard and/or Unity bundle.  I doubt there are that many waiting for save an extra $20, while some will be waiting to save $100 on their PS4 purchase.

Well, as I said.  That was short lived!  LOL!  Xbox back on top.  http://www.amazon.com/best-sellers-video-games/zgbs/videogames/ref=sv_vg_12

LOL.. There it is..        So this whole thread should just be deleted... It was false alarm.. and actually.. becuase they were one position apart.. We don't know that the PS4 every outsold the X1.. If they had sold the same amount.. maybe it just went by ALPHA.. and gave it to the PS4.  lol

You guys may want to check my post above about the bestsellers on Wal-mart and Gamestop.

Don't forget the Walmart Black Friday deals. Walmart has a Halo:MCC bundle for $330 with a $30 gift card effectively making the price $300. They also have a $370 Halo:MCC + game of your choice + 1 year of Xbox Live bundle. Those are some really good deals imo.

Still, not quite the savings or mass appeal of GTAV + TLOU for free with the top console of the gen, especially when I pretty sure Halo:MCC is going to sell mostly to existing XBO owners.  Sony also has a bundle specifically for kids/families that I think will be eaten up on Black Friday.

Of course, I think it's still impressive that Sony is doing very little til next week, yet still is winning at two of the largest retailers for video games.

MS didn't come into the industry to be play second fiddle to Sony, they came to snuff them out.

Yes, but according to VGC "not reaching your goal" isn't called "failure" anymore. It's called "doing well".

They are doing well, but they don't care. MS will set their balls on fire just to beat Sony. (Of course thats just an metaphor for their motivation)

"Doing well" is relative in its nature. It's doing shit relative to MS's expectations before the gen. It's doing well relative to the Vita. That's why we should always ask people who use the phrase what relativity they're basing it on.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I understand, but Microsoft is doing fine and they need to worry about passing the Wii U. They just need to pace themselves (but then again they are still obsessed with Sony so we forget they are in third and not in second). Sony surprised the crap out of Microsoft, which is why they were scrambling to launch next to Sony. I am not even going to argue about the Vita. I know Sony's weak points and I don't defend them. I might like Sony better, but I don't blindly follow their mistakes.
