Forums - Sony - Who needs games: PS4's first year [EUROGAMER]

Well this isn't biased at all. It's hilarious that ports are bad but micro can slap 4 shaky (according to the writers logic) ports of old as fudge games together and it's mana from heaven. Sooooooo little games to play on PS4 (as I await my Dragon Age Inquisition pre-order to arrive) :)

Thanks jlmurph!

As a PS3 / Wii U owner, i agree.

I saw no reason to buy PS4 so soon. I think i will wait a price drop/good bundle/slim.

From my PoV consoles are not investment, since they lose value over time (along with their games), so i see no reason to run unless a killer app reveals itself.

ps4 and xbone first year is better than any console in the history.

Maybe, maybe not. It just wasn't enought to warrant my purchase, since i had a PS3/PC to play Destiny, CoD, Watch Dogs, Dragon Age and the others. (Ant to be honest, from those, only Destiny/DA:I had appeal for me).

No PS4 exclusive seemed interesting to me in 2014. I had TLoU on PS3 already. Maybe Infamous or resogun, but i don't consider them a must-play, so it can wait.

In fact, Eurogamer is wrong...

Yeah, the first year of the PS4 was pretty bad for gamers. They had a bad launch lineup and an embarrassing holiday lineup. Singstar and LBP3 is probably the worst lineup for any console in the past decade.

PSN and PS+ were praised on the PS3 as equal to XBL but this year clearly showed the real difference.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Bullshit article to spur hits and random discussion. PS4s line up is fine, just because they don't like LBP3, doesn't mean others won't. There are enough 3rd party to keep everyone happy no matter what console their own.

Hmm, pie.

Take a lesson from history. Sony always starts off slow but always ends up finishing strong.

If having 64 games more than your closest rival is 'starting off slow' then I'll take that.

well Sony already have 10 exclusives lined up for PS4 ready for next year. with an PS Event. The Game Awards and E3 2015 to announce new exclusives that can come out next year. so yeah, this is sony starting slow, but next year they are gonna crush it.

But will the narrative switch to the XB1 when Sony release all those exlusives? I think we all know the answer to that.

The PS5 Exists.

it might in the first 9 months of the year. xb1's line up for then looks pretty bad (exclusive wise)

Meh. The PS4 may play mostly the same games as the PS3, but it plays them way better. That's reason enough to upgrade a PC, and apparently also reason enough to buy a new console.
