Great bundles for the US black Friday. One for the adults, and one for kids and families. It's a win-win situation.

Isn't lower price nearly always > free games in the US? With the gift cards Xbox One will be priced at $299 at Walmart and $279 at Target. That's insane! |
All you mention for X1 are ports except for the broken pos that is ACunity. just sayin.

Doesn't matter if Halo is a port. It will still make it sell extremely well

Just a question, what sells more - GTA or Halo? If you have question with GTA port then you should have question with Halo port too.

You're right but my question is about the price rather than the games.
I already have a PS4 (and loving it) but I would've liked to see what numbers PS4 could manage with similar deals to Xbox One's $329.
Therefor I'm asking if a lower price isn't nearly always more important than free games for the general American consumer.
What would sell more:
$399 PS4 + GTA V + The Last of Us
or
$329 PS4 + Infamous: Second Son

What about a $299 WiiU?
They should have thrown a 1 year PS+ sub too. That would have been sweet.
Thanks jlmurph!
Mike_L Are you sure? Personally I don't know (I'm not from US) but I would think most Americans go with the $329 next gen console with free HD Halo 1-4 or free AC Unity + Black Flag rather than go with the $399 next gen console with free GTA V and The Last of Us (ports of PS3 games).

more than just a port,res/textures/shading/framerate are all improved, new features ect... also droves of ppl are coming over from 360/wii to the ps4 who havent played tlou or gta5 (if you were a wii only person)
As I've said before, Sony has clearly shown that it doesn't intend to price match or compete with XOne this holiday season. I am certain that they will sell all their planned stock at this current price. Why lower the price and revenue just to end up selling the same and going out of stock earlier.
It's not a race --- they'll sell full allotment on BF, restock for December, sell out again for Christmas, reztock and continue selling in January, February etc.
There really is no need to panic and drop the price.

This makes sense. But I don't get why MS has to drop Xbox One's price to $329/$299/$279 with free games in order to sell out.
I actually thought that an Xbox One + Halo: Master Chief Collection bundle priced at $399 would sell out during black friday.
I guess I just can't grasp the concept of black friday and why some would lose money just to sell out a little faster. Why would anyone choose to sell 1 mill in 12 hours and lose money rather than sell 1 mill in 24 hours and earn money? For the positive PR?
