Forums - Sony - Sony is giving away Driveclub DLC for free as an aplogy

Well, free is always good. They should try to fully fix the game, at most by december. The game is already being lost in game limbo because its regarded as a mess all around

Hmmm, maybe Ubisoft could take a page out of their book!

But their game works. Optimization seems to be the biggest issue.

I would hardly call that working. There was a recent article from IGN where Ubi was patching certain issues, while others still have yet to be fixed.

"Arno falling through the ground, crashing when joining a co-op session, Arno getting caught inside of hay carts and a delay in reaching the main menu screen at game start, poor frame rate, crashing, clipping, mouse lag on menus, freezing, poor rendering."

IMO, this is much worse than the online issues with Driveclub.

" Rebellion Against Tyrants Is Obedience To God"

I think Ubisofts fix will be behind a paywall :)

As for driveclub - I have to say its a pretty addictive game to play and anything extra they are adding to the game is more than welcome. Yeah the game launch hasn't been ideal and some features are still not 100% (challenges mainly and some in game events like avg speed events) but on the whole its a pretty good game in single player mode. Haven had much of a go at multiplayer though.

This is what I was thinking Evolution should have done for all the issues. Glad to see they did!

By the way, when's that PS+ version coming?

Ubisoft is way ahead of you pal, n less than a week of the game being released they are already realing an all important patch to fix the broken microtransactions the game shipped with. Now you can finally buy in-game content. The whole internet has been giving them grief about how they weren't able to spend more money on the game they just bought so ubisoft came to the rescue.

Besides, giving away free stuff is a sign of desperation and not remorse or an apology.

They need to patch some bugs and improve optimization, but ultimately the game works. You can play through the game just fine.

Online being virtually is a huge problem for those who want to play online. Driveclub was advertised for its unique online features as well.

Hahaha! Yes! exactly my thoughts. I can't wait to see the backlash they get over this.

You can play DC just fine too. As long as you aren't trying to get online. The game is not broken or buggy. Just really hard to get online but the single player works perfectly. But by your logic, all it needs its optimization to its netcode.

Also, AC can't just be played just fine. The game actually crashes and freezes and sometime the only way out is to restart the game. Those aren't small bugs to downplay. Especially when all the issues of AC creed actually affects how the game itself is played and experienced. With DC you just sometimes get locked out of a mode.

Whatever the case, both games are broken. But take a look at what ubisoft is focusing on fixing first.
