But their game works. Optimization seems to be the biggest issue.

I would hardly call that working. There was a recent article from IGN where Ubi was patching certain issues, while others still have yet to be fixed.

"Arno falling through the ground, crashing when joining a co-op session, Arno getting caught inside of hay carts and a delay in reaching the main menu screen at game start, poor frame rate, crashing, clipping, mouse lag on menus, freezing, poor rendering."

IMO, this is much worse than the online issues with Driveclub.

They need to patch some bugs and improve optimization, but ultimately the game works. You can play through the game just fine.

Online being virtually is a huge problem for those who want to play online. Driveclub was advertised for its unique online features as well.

You can play DC just fine too. As long as you aren't trying to get online. The game is not broken or buggy. Just really hard to get online but the single player works perfectly. But by your logic, all it needs its optimization to its netcode.

Also, AC can't just be played just fine. The game actually crashes and freezes and sometime the only way out is to restart the game. Those aren't small bugs to downplay. Especially when all the issues of AC creed actually affects how the game itself is played and experienced. With DC you just sometimes get locked out of a mode.

Whatever the case, both games are broken. But take a look at what ubisoft is focusing on fixing first.
