I'll say 35k... Its holiday season and its Mario kart. I don't care how little the Japanese are supporting anything over there, this bundle will do its damn job!

I hear yah. I'm hoping to be wrong on this one! 40-60K  pre Smash bros would be uplifting at this point.

Lol, yeah, you got me. I did skim over the OP, but I mostly focused on the sales for this week last year, the 16k, and thought since it's 4k this year and it's Mario Kart we'd be lucky for 20k from Japan, but given how Japan responded to a friggin Wii Party U bundle, I'd say maybe we have a chance of seeing Japan go crazy over an even better bundle. I mean Mario Kart 8 has just about beaten Wii Party U in Japan without a bundle, so for Mario Kart 8, Japan might go even more nuts than they usually do over a bundle.

since it is about Japan which mobile/handheld dominates everything - 10k-15k is a good estimate. hope i'm wrong but the trend there is way different than US and EU markets.
