Not really, NPD october is tomorrow, so they need to say something good, anything except October numbers.

Some news outlets will probably pick up on that and compare to PS4's last reported 13.5m shipped or 10m sold in August lol.

So if VGC numbers are correct then that means XBO sold 240k the week of the pricedrop. Very good numbers. Also, VGC numbers show that there are over 3m XBOs on store shelves. Jesus. Both PS4 and XBO are horribly undertracked.

This is where I think people are getting ahead of themselves.  "Soon" should send up red flags.  This is the holiday season for goodness sake.  All three companies will be shipping millions of units in the coming weeks in *anticipation* of demand.   And it is a known fact that MS will stuff the channels, demand be darned.  Just look at Japan :P .   So "soon" could mean a month from now.  And in this season, that could easily put their current shipments at 8.5mil or less with plans to ship massive ammounts in the latter half of Nov and through Dec.  People acting like Xbox One must be at 8.5mil because of this statement are jumping the gun. 

1. Hasn't reached 10m shipped yet

2. VGC is almost two weeks behind the shipments reported, including 11 days post-price cut.

3. BF and the holidays are coming and retailers are stocking up for them.
