Exactly my point, no meaningful discounts for Wii U this holiday

Best Buy

So you get a Wii U (normally $300) + four games for an extra $60. Three excellent games plus one that's still pretty fun with friends and family. And one of those games is the Wii U's biggest game of the holiday season, and first or second biggest game of the entire year. And that game launches only a week before Black Friday at $60 by itself. You know, the same price you'd be paying for the game plus two other excellent games plus one that's still pretty fun with friends and family.

So what the fuck more do you want? A Wii U for $5.75 plus tax?

Wii U normal bundle is $299 with 3D World & Nintendo Land, Smash Bros is $60 so basically the deal is buy the normal bundle+Smash Bros and u get DKC for free.

Yeah, Soundwave pointed that out to me. It's not a deal that knocks the door off the hinges, blows your hair back and makes you duck for cover, but it's still not a bad deal. DKC:TF is a fine game, and if I was in the market for a Wii U, I wouldn't be upset if this was the deal that I got.

Nintendo probably told retailers to keep the Black Friday deals to a minimum in order to maximize profits. That's the most important thing for them right now.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

That makes no sense. Nintendo sales to retailers, who then sale the console at MSRP or whatever price they want. If a retailer sales a console at less than MSRP, it doesn't effect Nintendo's profit margins, because Nintendo already has the sale.

The Best Buy sale is insane though. I think it was a Wii U 32GB, Super Mario 3D World, Nintendo Land, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Super Smash Bros. for $360. I don't even see how that's possible.

Why does it need a price cut when Smash is around the corner?

Thanks for all the great memories!

But the retailers probably ask for a discount from Nintendo don't they.

Yeah, I've noticed it too :(

My buddy wants a WiiU but there aren't many good deals announced so far. The Best Buy deal is the best, but in the end it represents a savings of only $40.

I'm hopeful something gets announced closer to Black Friday.

Waiting to see if Nintendo announces an ultimate "Smash Bros Wii U Console with game, special GC controller, and adapter" bundle..

No it is not an insane deal, not bad but nothing amazing.

Wii U-$300(comes with 3D World+Nintendo Land)

Smash Bros-$60

Donkey Kong-$50

Total-$410

This bundle saves u $50 or basically buy the standard bundle along with Smash Bros and get Donkey Kong for free.
