I'm halfway done with the game and then I do a review of it for The Game Fanatics. I don't want to spoil anything so I'll just state the obvious.
It's a blatantly unfinished game that is far better than the user metacritic tells you and far worse than the Miiverse will admit. Metacritic users throw 0s and 10s out without thought and miiverse liked The Letter.
Actually, lately I´m paying more attention to friends and Miiverse users opinions than website reviews before buying any game.
There´s a number of games that recieved bad reviews but I enjoyed them a lot: Doctor Lautrec, Epic Mickey Power of Illusion, Project Cross Zone (3DS), Wii Party U, Just Dance 2014, Scribblenauts Unmasked (WiiU). I didn´t buy Sonic Lost World but loved the demo - probably I would enjoy the game a lot too.
I read reviews just to have an idea of what features each game has, but not as a reference for buying. For that, personal opinions are just more reliable

The Letter had a lot of positive comments also...

Have you seen some gameplay for yourself?.. :/

This, for starters!
well when you are starved for games anything new is hyped up in the first couple weeks.
Wait for the revised comments.

Skyrim had glitches as well, what review did that get?
the independent gave it a decent review and a few youtubers on reddit gave it mid 8's. But cannot find anything else. |
"for starters." Glitches everywhere, some of which game breaking, on top of bad/awkward graphics/animations at times, bland unfitting music, horrible dialogue, and more stuff I can't remember off the top of me head.
That's because Sega didn't send out review copies for even they know the game is no good!
Those are a minority, the majority of people stopped playing the game before taking to Miiverse like me.

"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.
That game's sales all depend on how it resonates with kids. It's going to be all about word of mouth and kids telling their parents they want it when they're walking by the display case. Clearly there is no marketing for it, SEGA has left it to die.
