Edit: I hope Smash at one hand, because Mario Kart 8 is not exactly the direction I'll like the series to go. On the other hand, I don't care that much about Smash.

With Link, Villager, and Isabelle now in MK8, it's already happened. :p

I voted Mario kart 8,it has released earlier and has 50% attach rate...!But i m sure they will be neck to neck:P

Having Link is great for the series. To bad about the boring Hyrule track.

I think it'll be just like last generation. That is, Smash will start off stronger but Kart will have better legs.

MK8 will win comfortably.

For people making comparisons to the gamecube, Melee only won by a 50k margin, now take into account that it came out 2 years earlier then double dash and had no handheld competitor like smash U does...

I actually think Smash will sell more than MK8.

Smash had a lot of promotions, events and whatnot, which will definitely drive sales for the first couple of months the game is out or so. I feel like the sales of launch alone could help Smash sell more in its lifetime, but who knows.
