I actually think Smash will sell more than MK8.
Smash had a lot of promotions, events and whatnot, which will definitely drive sales for the first couple of months the game is out or so. I feel like the sales of launch alone could help Smash sell more in its lifetime, but who knows.
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
