I think there's a strong possibility.

Capcom likes to play it safe. Either it goes to the regular 3DS or it will go to home consoles as a multiplat.

You are a sick man, tbone. You just want to see the Vita fail.
How about both N3ds+3ds release? N3DS is enhanced and added feats/monsters/etc. That way nobody (well yeah right) will complain :0

They're more likely to make it on the 3DS but if the New 3DS keeps this pace, it could be a viable option, and could easily push more New 3DSs.
Probably yes. It will either be a 3DS game or an early-gen Nintendo Fusion title (2016?).
Nintendo has effectively killed off Sony's handheld gaming division, so there is no alternative for Capcom now anyway.
MH going multiplatform doesn't work because the whole part of the game's appeal in Japan is Japanese school kids being able to play the games together locally on the subway/school break/after school.
If you have one portion of the fanbase that has it on one system and the other side that has the other version, now your MH users can't all play with each other.
I think Fusion is actually a real possibility.
MH5 probably won't ready until 2016 right? By then Nintendo's new handheld will be ready most likely too. So that's pretty much a perfect fit.
Say Nintendo Fusion (handheld) launches May 2016-ish in Japan. MH5 in October or November 2016. That works.
