I personally have never lost faith in Bioware, Dragon Age 2 wasn't as good as the first one but is by no means a terrible game and the ending of Mass Effect 3 wasn't horrible and definitely didn't ruin an amazing series for me. A lot of the "entitled" fan base seems to hate on these games just because Bioware didn't do what they would have done. That's besides the point though; Dragon Age: Inquisition looks absolutely amazing! Not many on here talking about it so I just wanted  to see what people think about it. This is my GOTY hands down and I think it has a legit chance to win that title. Its the first truly huge RPG for the new generation with lots of characters, customization, quests, huge areaa to explore...just tons of content (around 200 hours worth). I have watched every video and read every article I can find about this game and I am super excited about it, especially since every thing I have seen and read has been very positive about this game. I actually haven't found anything negative other than one or two people said that they felt the lore was pretty deep and you were thrown into the situation fast but they also admitted they didn't play the first dragon age games so they didn't have all the back ground information. Bioware has also said you don't need to play the first two to jump into this one so I think if they take the time (in their defense they had limited time to try the game) they will feel comfortable in the setting. Also the skyhold...holy crap it looks amazing and seems to give you a lot of chances to customize your inquisition the way you want with all the decorations and war table functions. Just seems like this is going to be an incredibly deep game with lots to offer for everyone:) So what do you guys think? GOTY material? Think it will get people excited about Bioware again? Would love to have a conversation about my personal most anticipated game of the year!

P.S. I am totally making it my goal to collect all 30+ mounts:p

I want to be excited for this game, really, I do. Enjoyed the first one so much, saw so much potential in the world, even two I felt received some unfair criticism (it also got plenty of completely justified criticism though), but so much of the writing I've seen attached to the game in previews and promotional material is just so bad, so very, very bad.

Anyway, on topic, no. The series isn't popular enough, I think it's fanbase it too dedicated, not as open as Mass Effect's because Mass Effects has guns. That doesn't mean it won't be good.

I'm picking it up day 1 on PS4. Dragon Age 2 almost lost me as while it had a compelling story and gameplay, the world itself felt very rushed and lacked overall in comparison to it's predecessor.

As for GOTY, I'm betting on either SSBU or Bayonetta 2.

It'll be GotY for me too. I can tell whether a game will be good by seeing gameplay and such and Dragon Age Inquisition has had hours of gameplay video to form an opinion off of, several of even show how detailed and how large one of the overworld maps in the game is.

I've been talking this to people I know left and right how amazing this game is going to be, not just the single player, but the multiplayer. The gameplay is similar to Dragon Age but with a slight action style to it, so it's still going to be strategic but a little bit of Diablo esque. Hearing about the multiplayer and what it entails, I think it's going to be an amazing experience and I'm even more excited about the multiplayer than I am the single player.

If you've played Dragon's Crown, you've got a party of up to floor players who are six different classes that you take through quest after quest. Chaos Labyrinth and the patched Tower of Mirage have your characters going through stages where each different area you walk through is randomly one of the areas of one of the stages you've went through in the game. These floors have randomized treasures, traps, and enemies, each getting harder the further you get through the dungeons. I've spent 188 hours on the game with each class at level 99 or higher. Hearing how Dragon Age Inquisition takes this same style of gameplay, but with Dragon Age style of gameplay, meaning that parties need to be more focused on a properly organized and created team, you can guess why I'm so interested in the multiplayer. The game also features 12 different classes at the start, giving you a lot of options to customize what type of character you'll be in the multiplayer.

The single player is going to be amazing and I was purchasing it day one since the first few gameplay videos I've seen, but as soon as I heard about the multiplayer and the details of it, I'm more interested in that than single player mode.

This is going to be my next purchase. From what I've seen, it looks amazing. So much to see and do. The amount of content in this game is staggering. The multiplayer has me interested as well. I'll be getting this on the PS4 so I can remote play this bad boy on my vita. Hopefully the controls transfer well!

Like what? Other than the ESRBs ridiculous examples of sexual talk which we saw completely out of context and I believe will be much less awkward when not cherry picked to be all we see, I havent seen any writing that's as bad as you claim and I have watched a lot of the videos. Also all the videos that have been shown are early in the game and not dialogue heavy so I don't think that's a fair criticism, at least not yet.

Yeah the dragon age 2 world design was awful but the writing was well above the first ones and gameplay was fun.
