The golden days of pc gaming were over after the 90's.

They have a nice market now of people that will upgrade their GPU's to be able to run the latest unoptimized mess for bragging rights.

Anayway sure pc is the largest gaming platform, and can be cheaper for the consumer in the long run. That doesn't mean it's the most profitable platform for AAA games, not by far. Since consoles use AMD cards now, my next one will be AMD as well. Multiplatform games should run better on that.

Now you see people, PC gaming were awesome in the 90's. Remember the games were only ask requirement insert CD & buy simply gaming video card 3dfx Voodoo 2 for mini driver Glide?

A little too transparent, given the fact that Nvidia has been completely shut out of the OEM market for console GPUs this generation.

What else are they supposed to say realistically?

Consoles = AMD this generation, and everyone knows AMD is their only competition in the GPU space.

So... Nvidia has no choice but to say "Don't buy consoles; they're obsolete!" as in "We have absolutely nothing to gain from the console market, so please buy an Nvidia video card instead!"

I kind of agree with him. There's really nothing a console can do that a PC can't do.

That said, consoles still have their place. They have a lower entry cost than PCs, and have more exclusives. If it weren't for these 2 reasons, consoles simply wouldn't exist today.

There has never been anything that a console can do that a PC can't.

And as for this article, well.. Nvidias gotta Nvidia.

Yeah play it on Nvidia THE WAY IT'S MEANT TO BE PLAYED!!!   According to Nvidia that means buggy as hell with terrible optimization because that is what all of their gameworks games are like.

That slogan is represent MY ASS!!!

Nvidia is still don't wanna make their own API to help developers with optimization.

Look AMD made their own API mini driver Mantle, like 3dfx did their own API Glide.
