Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Ocarina of Time vs Marjora's Mask

Which one??

Ocarina of Time! 85 44.74%

Majora's Mask! 88 46.32%

zelda suks and i just here 2 troll 17 8.95%

Total:190

Pretty big debate in the Zelda fanbase...but which one do you prefer? I choose MM, while it was much shorter than OoT, the text speed is actually readable and doesn't move at a snails pace. I also thought Hyrule Field was waaaay to big especially before you get Epona, while Termina field was much shorter but still fun to explore. I also liked the dungeons in MM better as well

Note: Not bashing Ocarina in anyway, just stating why I think MM is better, both are amazing games

Ocarina.

I haven't completed either of them.

Don't hurt me, please.

I like oot better cause it was just a better game imo

It's difficult to choose! While OoT is one of the greatest games and a foundation for the series, I'm gonna go with MM because of how much it stands out in terms of gameplay, and atmosphere.

Majora's Mask, easily.

Termina Field is bigger than Hyrule Field, so I'll add that to the growing list of Villager madness.

Didn't feel like it since how empty Hyrule Field is compared to Termina Field

The are both amazing and it's a shame that MM isn't as highly regarded as OOT.

Something...Something...Games...Something

I'll answer next year.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

They both have faults. Ocarina has the weakest script of any Zelda game in recent memory, and Majora was short on content. Ocarina's world felt deserted and empty, Majora felt crammed.

Ocarina is the better "Zelda," but Majora is clearly the superior game from an artistic expression standpoint. And that Last End music...I have to say Majora is the better of the two.

Ocarina of Time. I've only gotten halfway through Majora's, but I'm planning on finishing it up within the next few weeks. Either way, I think the dungeons are much better in OoT. The first two in MM aren't really anything to write home about. I know the Stone Tower temple is supposed to be amazing, but one amazing dungeon does not outweigh all the amazing ones in OoT. I particularly love the Fire and Forest Temples. As well, I'm not a huge fan of the 3 day thing, and the intro for MM goes way too long. The fact that you can't save until you get back the Ocarina is kind of annoying. I've also never been a fan of having to constantly switch "personas" in games, like you do with the masks in MM.

I still like the game, but I like OoT way more.
