And you're assuming potential just means power itself. I think potential will be a mix of games, power, and gameplay potential. It could last well into 2017 which would be a regular gen for any console. That'd be a year and a half until E3 2016 to reveal what it is.
If Nintendo would just decide to localize everything there'd also be a flux in quality games like Fatal Frame, Monster Hunter Frontier, and Dragon Quest X. If that released 2015 along with LoZ, Xenoblade, Splatoon, and Star Fox it could be an incredible year. That would leave 2016 to bring in the revamped Devil's Third, Metroid, Fire Emblem, and Pokken Tournament, along with some other unannounced games, maybe a megaton exclusive (thinking Megaman Wii U). That line up could hype people along with the first sneak peak of the big N's next console. That would lead us into 2017 where they give us the cross gen Mario Universe, and the big Nintendo Amiibo game that justifies the figures and cards more than just costume downloads and free dlc. Then maybe Splatoon 2.0 with the use of 2 gamepads (that and the amiibo are two things that have not even begun, let alone reached their full potential).
