You will need to add cod aw bunble at 36 for october, since that week ended on november 2nd and the 76th position of ass creed bunble. And since we do not know the sale gap, and ass creed is at three, ahead of gta next gen, the gap between three  and seventeen could be two thousands or two unit. Plus ass creed bunble will move up too.

what? November NPD doesn't count the week ending November 2nd. It counts the 4 weeks of November from the 3rd to the 30th. With today and tomorrows numbers added the November Amazon chart will favor PS4 more than it does now.

He's right, those were pre order sales for the first week of November. When COD/AC bundles came out together with the price cut. October didn't have any of those sales.

but they get included in November charts for Amazon no? The same way as peoplewho preorder the GTA 5 bundle now on Amazon, won't have their sales counted till December?

Nope, pre orders made in October are in October charts only. That wouldn't make any sense. Sales counted != amazon orders.

Yeah, the measures MS had to take in order to go toe-to-toe with the PS4 are really huge. Meanwhile, Sony just kept patient and sent out huge shipments of PS4s to each retailer for Black Friday. The probem with MS's strategy is that it is not sustainable nor efficient. What about from January to end of October? Heck, an X1 victory in December is even less likely than a November victory. You cannot rely on just 2 of 12 months, especially when you offer huge discounts and deals during those two months.

its not like they really have a choice. they were getting slaughtered through out the year, they had a massive third party exclusive and gave it away for free, still lost. a 100$ price cut, still lost. and this is the only territory along with the UK that they can even compete in (maybe brazil, not sure). so they sure as hell are gonna slash prices in the biggest two years to try make up for all the lost months.

they fucked up when making the console, they fucked up big time and its as simple as that, and now they are literally paying the price for it. like DD_bwest, last year to get an xb1 and a game to play you had to pay 560, now you could have gotten it for 280$ ( thats with the target 50$ gift card deducted from the xb1 price) with two games, not just one. its not like microsoft really have a choice.

No, it has been from no.1 from friday morning at 2am. Xbox one has been in the top 3 too and it is limited addition item, even the sunset overdrive bundle has sold out!!

You may be right. I think Thanksgiving Thursday is when it debuted at #2.

(BTW Sunset Overdrive bundle was limited so it selling out doesn't really mean that much.)

Oh no. I wasn't saying that MS shouldn't have done these deals. I mean it's great for the consumers so why complain? I'm just saying that this type of strategy is not sustainable nor efficient. So unless MS goes back on their word that these bundles cost $329-$349 until January, it's going to be a long 2015 for them.

they are probably gonna cut the price next year as well. Q1 has some big third party games that MS are probably counting on pushing the Xb1, though exclusive wise they are gonna have to compete with a very strong PS4 exclusive lineup. though i do see them having a tough jan- august. then a price drop in september once games start to release and they go all out in sept-dec. im guessing we will see a 299$ price with a free game or two next year this same time, or even a 279$ or a 250$ price for an xbox one.

So the last several hours of GTAV/TLOUR bundle sales will not be included in NPD given these sales (supplied by Amazon) won't ship until 2 December, which means they will be counted in December NPD.

If that's the case, XBO should take November pretty solidly, but December will be a bloody victory for PS4.

amazon accounts for a rather small secton of the market, a few hours of its sales being in december wont have a major inpack, its a few k tops.

We're talking about Black Friday sales though. Sony was going to win December anyway, this will just make it bloodier.

still, they sold out the alloted amount at amazon, which can only be a good thing.  People were cheering about retail stores being sold out rather quick, its sort of the same, but atleast amazon had enough to last until earlier today.  i really dont think either side can be said to "take it solidly" from current info.   i believe it will be close, the xb1 very well could win, but so much depends on shipments and in that area we generally dont have much info besides a few anecdotal accounts
