So the game was released on the 24th. Is this only first day numbers?

No, this is day 1 & 2, which accounts for an overwhelming majority of first week sales.

Yes, but expect a drop o 70% for Next week, so expect the game to Drop to 50k Globally, and them starting loosing 50% per week.

In terms of software it did okay, considering the extra sales from it being an exclusive.
I wish it could have done more for hardware, though.

Lifetime... I want to still guess it can get to 1m worldwide, but I'm definitely unsure about it.

The console is just too expensive to make it an impulse buy, I think many people would like to buy and play the game, but is hard to justify purchasing a console for 300+ to play just that one. If there was a deluxe option without bundled games (as not everybody is interested in Mario or Nintendo Land) for 250 or a little less a few more people would be tempted to buy the Wii U just for this game.

Hardcore gamers have now clearly demonstrated that not even GotY material is going to sway them into buying a Nintendo console. Which means that they have absolutely no ground to stand on when they make demands that Nintendo should cater to them.

This is the lesson to take away from Bayonetta 2 sales.

Yes, sir!

It did very well, but not enough imho.

I hate EU. I hate this industries consumers.

Launch numbers tell us it can sell more than 1M lifetime, maybe even 2M is possible. It isn't a big system seller, though.

It's done great. Within its first week, it has beat many of the lifetime predictions people have made on this site.

I think it will leg out thanks to Ninty's great backing of the title, the high metacritic score, the value of the overall package, and because WiiU owners don't have many other options.

I promise you that when the next WiiU drought hits, many will remind you to play Bayo 2.

It's not though. Dropped out of the Japan charts rapidly, and is out of top 40 UK after 2 weeks.

Still #1 on the eShop charts in NA. Pretty sure some other users can confirm it's doing well in the eShop internationally too.

It has sold through first shipment very quickly, even in Europe. Many would tell you that the first print special edition very quickly became extremely hard to find. And while it may have dropped off in the UK, elsewhere where it is in stock it is still charting.

Ninty is still marketing the title in the west. Not sure if they tried nearly as hard in Japan though.

Seece, since you live in the UK, go to GAME and send us pic of a huge stack of unsold Bayo 2 copies if you see that. I have a good feeling you won't.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Dont want to rain in the parade, but if the game sold as much as the first one sold on the 360 or the PS3 (and it did get pretty good reviews aswell)... does that mean hardcore gamers didnt care about the 360 and PS3 aswell?

I clap at that logic instead. :P

Everyone knows that strong sales occur in the first days, Bayonetta 2 Flops.

Not to mention the fact that a single title is unlikely to sway anyone, hardcore or otherwise, into buying any one console.
