./start joke

360 had like 2+ M on shelves for years.  this makes perfect sense to me..

When? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=129135

And don't talk about the last 2 years sales for 360 have been all over the place here.

1.75m on shelves is V odd for XB1.

./end joke

I understood the sarcasm, but sometimes its just easier to put "/s" after the not so obvious ones.

Oh was he being sarcastic? Kitlet is rarely funny so I assumed he was being serious.

Wasn't the Wii U adjusted down too?

Yeah? It needed to be tho, and needs further adjusting down.

So XB1 was adjusted down?

It seems v odd there is 1.75m~ units on shelves end of September :

It makes sense if you listen to the Major Nelson Podcast.  Phil made it abundantly clear that they provided substatinal stock in prep for the holiday deals.  Basically they were going to make sure that they could fulfil the highest levels of demand should they need to.

That was the AC Unity, AC Unity Kinect, Sunset and COD bundles. They did not ship those in September.

That argument makes sense but I would still argue that outside of the US (and especially in Europe) there is a lot more uncertainty as to what sales really are (for Xbox One or PS4) and in lieu of sold through announcements we really can only make educated theories.  PS4 was adjusted up, and then down by the same amount.  But the weekly totals are really really high.  Thats why I have issues with people making bets on this site. Outside of shipment numbers (and Sony's occational sold through reports), how do you verify that someone actually won?  Also,  since you made the argument of 1.75 Xbox Ones on store shelves, isn't the PS4 number even higher.  According to VGChartz there were 1.9 million PS4 on shelves at the end of September.

If your argument is correct, they are both massivlely undertracked.

You are correct, it is somewhat undertracked and adjusting it down doesn't make any sense.

However, I fear this thread won't make any difference, as I doubt ioi will notice it and adjust the numbers accordingly.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
