I don't think they have a choice. It's America or bust.

MS really had to do extreme things in NA to save their face.  They can't waste money all over the Planet.  Being rich does not mean you enter into a Market to lose money... MS is supposed to make a profit with their XBox, or say bye bye to the XBox division.

Real numbers are probably about 13m PS4, 6.5-6.6m XB1 and 7m WiiU. Shouldn't take much longer for XB1 to overtake WiiU

Exactly my line of thinking as well.

Heck lets see how big the next 3 lots of sales are (Sunset week, COD/Bundle/Price cut week, Halo MCC/AC week). Could easily demolish that 500k~ gap.

@seece...with your purposeful assumptions?I m sad you aren t satisfied with the fact that wii u has been adjusted down by 300k... what about xbone's overtracking in uk...70k-100k?

The facts are:

According to VGC,

WiiU had less than 200k on shelves at the end of Sept
XBone around 1.7m?
PS4 around 2.1m?

Does this look right to you?

Contradicts news that PS4/XB1 are selling 50k a week from the same source, regardless, doesn't mean XB1 isn't undertracked elsewhere. The shipments certainly suggest so.

WiiU was adjusted down like 260k? 190k on shelves when it's selling 50k a week is too little, needs another 100k chopped off. Around 7m end of September makes sense.

But still, I've been right about pretty much everything so far :)
