Great direct!
Splatton, Captain Toad and Xenoblade look so awesone that give me shivers!
Majoras mask for 3ds is a great thing, i hope more people give a chance to try this game
We reap what we sow
Mario Kart 8 DLC looking legit.
Only disappointment is the SNES Rainbow Road. Terrible course
Xenoblade X looks great and New Los Angeles looks interesting
What's bonkers is that New Loss Angeles is massive, like almost big enough to set an entire game in. But that city is just a small portion of the region. And that region is definitely big enough for an entire game. Yet that region is just one of several (I say several cause we have seen at least three others in the other trailers).

Yeah apparently this is all we care about. The term open world is a massive fucking buzz word these days, open world this, open world that. If your not open world dont even think of being a $60 retail game* *Does not include shitty fps or annual sports rehashes Seriously though, Batman, Witcher, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy etc. etc. they're everywhere O_O |
And this is why I think Xenoblade as a franchise can be big for Nintendo. Sci-fi/fantasy, epic stories, and open world are all huge right now. And I'm already wondering...assuming (and I think it is a safe assumption) Nintendo does another traditional console that is more powerful than the PS4 next gen...and Takahashi goes balls-to-the-wall again...dang, what is THAT going to look like O_O
I don't think there will be droughts next year. They simply have too many games that have been in development for too long even by Nintendo standards. Xenoblade X has been in development for like 3 years ... it was first shown to us in January 2013 (almost 2 years ago now) and it looked like it had easily been in development for a full year at least back then.
Ditto for things like Yarn Yoshi.
Projects like Mario Party 10 and Kirby and Mario Maker seem pretty straight forward too, so I don't see them getting delayed out of 2015.
Then you have NOA just sitting on something like Fatal Frame V (c'mon NOA, release it).
I would say if we saw it played on Treehouse Live, it's almost guaranteed to make next year. The question is when. My bet is that Kirby, Mario, and Yoshi will lead the way in spring. Splatoon will come out probably in May alongside the Mario Kart 8 DLC to lead into summer. June may well be empty since it's a pretty meh month for gaming usually. July or so I think we will se Mario Party 10 to help keep summer sales and revenue up. August or September we will see Xenoblade; it and Splatoon will bookend summer to help keep the baseline up leading into the fall. Also, September or August gives X some breathing room to stand on its own and get some spotlight. I think November will be Zelda; Nintendo has proven in the past that when push comes to shove, they will meet Zelda deadlines (see Wind Waker). The rest of the schedule I think will be filled with general stuff. A spinoff title akin to Toad will probably come out to fill up a month (December probably), a game will probably get localized, and maybe a remaster. I think there will be two empty months next year, some time in the spring or summer doldrums and June. Devil's Third, SMTxFE, and Star Fox are wild cards. I think DT *could* make it, but it's a long shot; look for it in October or December depending on how far along it is. Star Fox I think could be delayed to 2016 due to it being in such a rough state. We don't know anything about SMTxFE so 2016 is a definite possibility; December 2015 is the absolute earliest I would see that land. I think Nintendo will use some of their easy outs (spinoffs, collaborations, HD remasters, and localized titles) to pad their count in 2015.
3ds will do fine...
WiiU needs more surprises in the next coming months
Switch!!!
