I didn't quote you or even refer to you specifically.  I just put it out there that anyone who did attempt to seriously use Bayonetta as an example in this discussion was going to be mocked.  

Its no secret why PC gamers make fun of us console folk or butt into every graphics related thread between consoles. But here is a hint just in case you are in the dark

Look at how seriously gamers take the differences between two consoles that are priced at $400. Now imagine how a PC gamer feels in relation to all that when his GPU alone cost smore than the consoles in question.

Difference, a console gamer will argue and fight over pixels when the topic is raised and the comparison is made between the consoles in question. Pc gamers don't have to be invited. They kinda just make it their duty to tell everyone how good what they have is even though no one asks them. 

Another very good example of all this, how many times do you see the wiiU being brought into power discussions? Thats cause even the console gamers know that the wiiU has its place in performance and it would make for an unfair or unreasonable comparison between it and the XB1/PS4. For some strange reason though, as smart as some PC gamers would have you think they are... they can't just seem to realize that such a gap and place exists between PC hardware and console hardware. Shocking isn't it?

I personally think any PC gamer stupid enough to make comparisons between consoles and PCs is just a foolish at best. Like it makes zero sense to me why they would even see the neeed to do that.

And since I was the one who brought up Bayonetta as a joke, you were clearly referring to me. You seemed offended by the comparison.

Its not about the screens being decompressed. There is a clear difference in those games regardless of any type of compression it would be highly noticable. What I am saying is the difference last gen was bigger but people are voting that its bigger this gen when its not.

the diference this gen is bigger by the simple fact that this time, both have the same architecture, but one has the graphic card upper hand (ps4),
last gen, x360 had a better gpu but the ps3 had it's strenght all in it's cpu, so the ps3 exclusives look amazing compared to any x360 but with multiplats the devs chose x360 as the priority, when they didn't the ps3 had the upper hand. remember FFXIII or GTAV!

The diff is way bigger in hardware and IQ this gen, that is a fact sorry....50% to 33% more detail on screen is a lot bigger then last gen, picking a few bad ports doesn;t help your argument..,

It's a fact there's a bigger technical difference between the consoles this gen compared to last. As for the visual difference I think it's night and day, resolution is easy for me to pick up on, frame rate, missing textures, having last gen effects in a game like Metal Gear Ground Zeroes (if you want to get specific) on XB1 and the only current gen version being on PS4, that actually runs at over twice the resolution, while maintaining 60FPS.

We're only just coming to the end of the 1st year, the sales incentive is there now for developers to start building their games to push PS4 more, which is now doubt what will happen in most cases.
So far the gap looks bigger, both visually IMO and technically in fact.

@CGI, intrisinic and curl; I knew that the PS3 was a lot harder to develop for and I get your point, but I don't agree with it, because devs should always use the full potential and not making it worse. They are just LAZY devs.

Then show me that 50% to 33% is more detail on screen of any recent game in any pic or video.  I am not saying PS4 is not a more powerful system because we all know that. I own both PS4 and Xbox One.

The answer was a lot trickier last gen, but it is very straightforward this gen.

I will write Playstation power in terms of min, average, max Xbox

Last Gen
PS : 70%- 90% - 120% of Xbox

This Gen
PS : 120% - 130% - 160% of Xbox

So last gen, it was unclear cut win for X360 by around 10%
This last gen, it is clear win for PS4 by around 30%

This is not the brute power but how it appears in the final product.
