| Barozi said: Exactly and I never said otherwise. Tropical Freeze is 11GB. There are only a handful (okay maybe two handful) of 360 games that are that big. So Nintendo already does games that are as big as the biggest from last gen (at least compared to 360). Bayonetta WiiU being even bigger than that. |
Because of cinematics.
Very few Nintendo games use them and they are one of the reasons of why modern games take that much space. That's why Bayonetta is so big.
Other elements that take a lot of space are textures and music (which I think is one of the reasons Tropical Freeze is so big), which without a doubt will make Nintendo games bigger, but not to a point near PS4/X1 levels.
I wouldn't be surprised if, with the huge soundtrack, cinematics, characters, etc. Smash Bros becomes the biggest game for WiiU, and given that it's already a 1080p game (which will be their goal next gen, not 4K), it could give us a hint of how big will Nintendo games be on its next home console.
Please excuse my bad English.
