I think people just buy the cards cheaper and then use them for PS+ subscriptions.

PS+ has a penetration of 50% or less and it costs 50 a year. It does not account for all this revenue at all.

Oh.  My bad.  Just recalling that any time Ibought an XBL card as a gift people used it for Gold.

Digital will only become more and more mainstream on all platforms. I know I have only one physical Xbone game right now, Battlefailed 4.

Yeah the PS4 Hardware Digital sales must be huge :P. (Considering all the undertracking)

Well NPD confirmed that the digital environment on PS4 is bigger than XB1 even in the US due to more games available (although we can't deduce from that the typical digital ratio for AAA games)

The One and Only

VizionEck.com

well for good or for worse in my country digital is getting really popular as of late.

Well I buy more digital on the 360 and X1 since there are rarely any great deals on PSN compared to XBL and I buy my cards on amazon also.  But on both of those consoles there are a lot more people buying digital contend directly since there was never a a huge security breach on XBL.

Huh?

Do I really need to explain this there was a huge security breach on PSN a while back and there was never anything that came even close to that breach on XBL.

Well, uh, your original wording makes no sense at all.  They both have a lot of digital sales because XBL never had a security breach?

What I meant to say is on the 360 and X1 people are less likely to buy cards to make their digital purchases and instead buy it directly since there never was a large scale secutirty breach like there was on PSN a couple years ago.

The problem with that is XBL cards were more often than not number one on the videogames chart on Amazon last generation in the US.  That means it's pretty clear that these cards sell really well on both networks, security breach or not.  Xbox 360 owners bought them in numbers that are in the same ballpark as PS4 owners, at the least.

Of course the XBL cards are not going to chart high when most people don't use cards and instead buy it directly from XBL.

Did you read what I said?  Last gen, XBL cards were often the number one best sellers in the video-games category on Amazon.  That kills the idea that Xbox users don't buy digital cards.

Last gen:  Xbox 360 had a higher installed base in the US than the PS3 = XBL cards were best sellers.
This gen:  PS4 has a higher installed base in the US than the Xbox One = PSN cards are best sellers.

Its not that simple since a lot of those PSN cards are bought by people overseas.
