The thing is, though, these are basically the same games as their predessesors.

And echocrome is a downloadable game... nothing to be proud about (unless you want to add Beats, ape quest and Go! puzzle)  I only count the retail release as a game, since sony decided to give americans a gimped downloadable 50% version.

So, this year the psp only has 3 first party games come out, but 4 will be coming out at a later time. This wouldn't be so bad if the 3rd party support didn't totally want to suck on my balls, But since it does, sony must have phenomenal 1st party support instead of just "aight".

And the funny thing is that its not even a 50% version ... its less :P ... ok thats just not funny :(

2008 has been the best year for the PSP with innovative titles such as Patapon. with the sequel to come this year too, and echocrome. Two prequels to AAA games (Crisis Core and God of War:CoO). A remake or two to an RPG classic, Star Ocean. Arguably the best PSN game, Super Stardust HD, is now coming to the PSP. Let's not forget all those other AA games like Hot Shot Golf, Wipeout and Space Invaders. The year is still not over. Dude, now is the perfect time to get your own.
