Has anybody grabbed SO: First Departure yet?

IGN gave it a 7.4/10, but their review seemed a little harsh. I'll definitely be grabbing it at some point

It's not out yet here. It comes out Tuesday. I plan on picking it up along with the PSP-3000.

I'm on the fence now, what was a guaranteed buy is a "maybe" buy now.

Also, I heard star ocean isn't really a new game, but an upgrade of the first game which was never released in the states.

Same here strategy. I will wait a few weeks until I get a PSP-3000, hopefully it'll be fixed by then. And yeah, Star Ocean PSP is a remake.

I really, really wanted the new screen. so sun glare (practically anyway), and Bright so you you see the game better.

I really think the future of the psp is in downloadable titles, well, at least what I'll be buying.
