People are going to move goalposts and change defintion to make things look better. Its nature. When WIi was winning nobody brought up the profit thing. They didnt need too. Numbers were clear. Now that they are on a fast track to dead last some wanna change the defintion of what a failure is.

The reason why they bring up profit because it was their cash cow. Everyone knew it was the GameCube with motion controls did not lose any money at launch because they spent little money into the hardware itself.

yeah. that wasnt my point though. Doesnt change that people will change their definition to make the situation look better.

But i couldnt help but notice. you didnt really answer Vitro's question. Why are those people who bought Wii not buying wii U? cause by your own logic most of them must not liked Wii very much.

welp the wii U does have last gen specs, so that's pretty good.

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

If it gets the job done, then yeah. Especially if you have a second division that's kicking the competitors out the door but nobody wants to mention that.

as long as ninty continues to bring what they do best, they'll be fine. no GC fine, but they'll make it.

Nintendos not MS desperate, and never will be. Wiiu price drop next yr.

Well Nintendo is apparently going to post a profit this quarter...however that won't stop the doom and gloom, honestly I am optimistic about this Wii U and I personally think it will sell along the lines of the N64 by the end of its life. I think it will for sure outsell the GameCube. The only thing Nintendo needs to do is advertise, they have the games to get people to buy the system, however it does no one good if the average consumer isn't even aware of the games existing. We need to all realize here there is a world outside of our subworld the interwebs and those people do make a large impact on the market.

"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.

I am a self proclaimed Wii U fanboy, but im also a realist. The console will finish dead last, and if it did 20 million and made a small profit i would be delighted. Im just thankful that Nintendo are at least having a good go at sparking interest in it, and they seem to be supporting it with quality software. A commercial failure, but no regrets with my purchase, its my favourite console, i must be a sucker for niche.

So more common sense for you. It is almost certain the 18-22 demographic lose interest in NINTENDO because of the whole "being to kiddie" perception. I went through it when I bought my PSOne. But once that perception wears off people will see it s a myth perception. They are the ONLY console that gives two shits about the kids. Reason why it wil dominate this holiday.

Here was my answer since you did not want to read it earlier.

Firstly, the PS4 is the console that will dominate this holiday, there is absolutely no doubt about that.

Secondly, other consoles have plenty of games for kids as well. Or do games like Littlebigplanet, Knack, Viva Pinata, Zoo Tycoon etc not count anymore?

Little Big Planet is the only one dude. But do  5 years old have packback's of their character's? Mario is almost as iconic as Mickey HUGE difference bro
