Forums - Nintendo - 3DS in 2015: Is it really this bad?

Hopefully you are right. But even 3DS is down massively from the DS.

That's because the Wii U is cannibalizing the 3DS.

Wii U's not big enough to take more than a nibble out of 3DS. It's mobile devices that are wolfing down its audience.

Xenoblade and Steam are first party.

Talking about Nintendo EAD games

are you aware that Monolith and Intellgent Systems are first party developers?

Call me crazy, but I'm kind of expecting Nintendo to announce a new 3DS Metroid game to release in late 2015....maybe early 2016....

You fell for it.

Now you should know why your argument that the 3DS is killing the Wii U was rubbish. And one year later you also see that what I said about Nintendo's software focus held true: Their attention has shifted to the Wii U whereas you claimed that they are working on too many 3DS games, are backstabbing their home console etc.

3DS was big enough to eat into Wii U, but not vice versa.

And what I said was true at the time. Thankfully that has changed.

I hope Nintendo has a better 2015 for the Wii U and 3DS. Their software output has been abysmal this year

But 3DS sales went down this year and the Wii U didn't improve beyond a normal year 2 increase.

And no, you said that Nintendo was giving the 3DS too much attention at a time when most of their developers were already working on Wii U games.

Wii U did improve though.

And "working on" wasn't good enough, it needed them available.

The way I see it, the console gaming market has a future and dedicated handheld gaming doesn't.

There maybe no future for dedicated handheld gaming on SONY'S side but it's different for Nintendo and dedicated handhelds will never die since they can provide a better portable gaming experience with tactile controls!

Hopefully you are right. But even 3DS is down massively from the DS.

and the Wii u is massively down from Wii whats your point?

What's yours? Or just going masssively off topic as an excuse to bash the Wii U?
