Basically, 80 million is the minimum, about the same number the Xbox 360 sold. And I honestly don't see the Xbox One, or even the PS4, selling that much over lifetime.


It'll be more than a fifth of the way there by this years end.

I still hold to prediction that XB1 has a 0% chance of outselling the 3DS

Somewhere between 60m-70m depending on when its successor launches and how much software support it gets from here on out.

I think the next Xbox will outsell Nintendo's next handheld, provided MS doesn't mess up so badly again.

Handhelds appear to be on a decline, though a new generation can totally change this, meaning that it's too early to call it a trend.

That said, if we take this to be a trend for the sake of projection, then an Xbox console could feasibly outsell a Nintendo handheld in a future generation (perhaps even the next one) if they don't fail their console twice in a row.

If Microsoft makes a next gen Xbox and Nintendo makes a next gen handheld, the Xbox will sell more.
