We're talking about some of the greatest games in the last years, not Watchdogs or Destiny :)

Halo and Mass Effect were good, the rest = yawnarama.

i don't know, i agree that games were way over hyped, but having both a ps4 and /WiiU i have games to play that are fun and good. TLoU i got to play finally, skipped it on my ps3 was originally waiting for it to drop around 20$ for the ps3 but got it for the ps4, while alot of people shit on Destiny im enjoying it. then there's MK8 and Bayonetta both of which are good games, and hopefully soon SSB. But there have been disappointments as well Titanfall wasnt that good at all, Watch Dogs was boring after a little while, Infamous SS while fun wasn't nearly as good as Infamous 2,,

Do you play FPS games?

Unless you have a WiiU, this year has been great. I can say that as well.
X1 & PS4 have most genres covered this year and their owners are mostly happy.

I have a Wii U and I'm happy.

With a backlog as big as mine and since I try to save as much cash as I can, I can say that this was a very good year with the PC+Wii U+ 3DS combo. Heck I just finally played and beat Injustice for the first time today and that was a good game that I just forgot about last year.

You can't play everything dude and if you feel like there are not good games that came out or are coming out this year, then ask your friends and play games with them. Games like Nintendoland and Just Dance are exponentially more fun when you play with friends.

I bet most of console owners have been happy with their consoles and games also.

I just don't like the consensus here that non-WiiU consoles have been lacking in software quality, when that is relative.

i would have to do more research before assuming that 2014 is the least impressive year in gaming, but what i can assure you is that in exchange we will get what may very well be the Best year in gaming "2015", the ammount of games that are coming out and the quality and expectations are ridiculous, i wouldnt mind taking a "2014" every now and then if it means that the next year would be a "2015" in terms of games.

finally yes we know very little about Scalebound but since its being made by Platinum and its a game they have wanted to do since BEFORE they made the first Bayonetta then i guess it at least deserves the same treatment that Bayonetta is getting now... and yes Quantum Break is a new IP that we know very little as  of now, but it really looks like the most interesting game that MS has made in a LOOONG while.

in summary there are a lot of MUST HAVE GAMES next year and probably you may not like most of them but you cant denny the quality and expectations of the games i have highlighted.
