Forums - General Discussion - What is your stance on hardcore pornography?

mrstickball said:
Porn is for jokers that can't get any, and have to watch naked people doing stuff that they just can't get on their own - weather because their jerks, stupid, or whatever.

The best kind of hardcore pornography? Screwing your wife. If you want porn, take some of you & the lady your married to. Simple enough.

:)

We should exterminate the vile vermins, all they do is taint our glorious gene pool.

:O

To answer the OP's question, my biggest concern if a female relative of mine did porn is that I might stumble upon it on the internet. That would be disturbing.

Seriously, they're adults, they can decide what they want to do with their body and who they want to see it. Not my business.

Also, I think that prostitution should be legalized. Legal prostitution, along with unionization and other professional support institutions, would make things safer for both sex trade workers and customers in terms of health and safety. I also suspect it might reduce more serious crimes like drug abuse and child prostitution.

It's much like alcohol or other 'sin' markets. Outlawing a product or service for which there is a large and reliable demand forces it onto the black market, where a network of organized criminals take over delivery of the product, with all the corruption and violence that they bring with them. You're better off keeping such things legal, but regulated so that they can be controlled for the greater safety of society.

I watch lesbian porn. lol

Only women, thats how I roll!

The legalization of alcohol, cigarettes, guns have caused way more deaths than porn ever has. For those of you who want to experience free porn in the comfort of your own homes go here.

OooSnap I'm glad your on this site.

If you believe, Athiest or not, that the people making porn don't have serious physiological issues, well the I put you the same boat as people who think the moon landing was faked. Actually worse.

Yeah man, denying that an obvious event happened against all evidence is totally equivalent to not believing an unfounded generalization. Preach on, brotha'.

Fine a significant number of them suffered abuse as children.

Did you survey a sufficient sample size to know this yourself?

Have you ever read any books published by pornstars? They have a common thread, and they tell about the other people as well. Do you know who linda lovelace is? Also talk to some physiatrist.

Which phsyciatrist. Saying that a majority of pornstars were sexually abused when they were younger is a stupid thing to say.

Are sexually abused people more likely to do porn? Why yes they are. They are also more likely to just go around sleeping with people randomly. People who aren't sexually abused do both also, and a greater number do both. A lower percentage but a higher number.

Note, i have a degree in psychology. Also had a class in psychology when dealing with sex. Also it wasn't from Bob Jones Univercity.

The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence. And yes I know quite a few physiatrist who beleive this I would go into but what you said (unless I over read something) is correct. And I'm not going to incrimnate anyone I know or respect since it is at this point believed. Not proved.

Go after me all you want but you don't know who the hell I'm talking about and you might just change your might if you met one of them.

"Back off, man. I'm a scientist."

Your theories are the worst kind of popular tripe, your methods are sloppy, and your conclusions are highly questionable! You are a poor scientist. Especially if you think the moon landing was faked.

ioi + 1

The Church is partly to blame when it comes to porn. They preach an unreasonable tactic of abstinence and are the worst teachers when it comes to sex education for youths. People over the years were forced to find there own answers and now everyone has sex like they do in pornos lol.

Oh look another link

www.nwci.ie/content/download/256/1166/file/National-ob-ireland2.pdf

here's you study unfortunitly its about the effects

That starts with "unfortunitly there are no statistics."

Then it tells a bunch of sob stories.  That's not a "study" so much as it is a collection of bad stories to try and guilt someone into a position.

The real question is... would the abuses not happen?  Or would they happen just not with porn.  Would the man not compare the woman with other women in "Sexy lingerie" (this is porn?)

Only to compare her with sexy women from movies?  You don't know, because it's not a study.  It doesn't study anything.

It's like how people try and prove videogames make people violent because violent people like to play violent videogames.

Maybe violent people like to play violent videogames because they are in fact violent.

Maybe misoginistic sexual deviants like to look at porn because they are in fact misoginistic sexual deviants.

The only actual numbers on it show that when a place goes from less exposure to porn to more, rape drops.

I think everything the OP says is valid and true. But I do think there is a place for porn in our society. But it is for ADULTS. Kids do not know what it is. They think it is really what sex is all about. Its not. So, for adults who know that it is acting, not "love", etc it is fine.
