Wouldn't surprise me, honestly. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if developers were doing it on their own, just to try to funnel people into a closed environment they can nickel and dime you in. Of course, none of this will make much of a splash, until we start seeing the practice carried over to the consoles (consistently), because PC Gamer's are the current whipping post of the industry.

Just take a one month break from VGC during January. It is very slow here, trolling, list wars, doom and gloom after sales fall from high of Santa Clause month. You'll have enough time to build one.

Unless you meant time for gaming in general. Well, that is much more harder to solve. 

I meant gaming in general. But if I were to invest in new hardware, I'd most probably go PC. As a computer science major, it makes sense that I'd invest in one.
