Mega Glalie's jaws looks similar to Eren's titan jaws.

So Steelix is Ground/Steel again (still good typing!)

Glalie is unknown but one guy on an official site who's posted all this info even said it can be Ice/Dragon.... Dafuq?

Anywayz, the mega's are supposedly Korean and Japanese exclusive..... Does this mean more mega's?

Are they just randomly picking pokemon out of a hat to get a mega evolution? So random.

Is there suppose to be a specific order? O.o

Mega Glalie gets the ability Refrigerate and is pure Ice-type

Well no, but these picks just seems kinda random.  Pidgeot and Beedrill make sense,  they are pretty iconic being from the first gen.

Steelix and glalie are just so out of the blue, for my taste at least.

There is your answer right there "for my taste at least."

Besides Steelix is a pretty popular pokemon amoung those 4 if you exclude original 151 arguement :P

Besides if they did it in a way like your thinking (popular pokemon and/or gen 1) then how can they proceed with future installments? If they put only pokemon the majority cares about in the first 2 games, the others wont have good pokemon to choose from.

Example, imagine if they did every starter with a mega. It be awesome no doubt but that'll leave out different scenarios with future installments, such as Diamond/Pearl Remakes that could be with Gen 4 starters :0

Glalie with refrigerate = strongest atk in the game without added effects (like weather)

Explosion= ice type 250 power + stab 375 + refrigerate 30%+ = around 500 O.o

Estimated stats... (from Smogon)

Mega Steelix gets Sand Force and it's stats are 75/125/230/55/95/30

Mega Glaile gets Refrigerate and it's stats are 80/120/80/120/80/100

Edit: My Mega Steelix Set...

75/85/200/55/65/30   Steelix

 75/125/230/55/95/30  Mega Steelix (smogon estimates)
