As you're a Nintendo fan I don't imagine you have a Vita? It's just that if you have a Vita and get PSN+ owning 2 or more Sony systems makes the IGC amazing value since you can get up to 6 free games a month when you have it across all 3 of their machines. I own a Vita/Ps3 and have had psn+ for the past year or so it means that when I do pick up a ps4 I have a huge bag of games waiting for me on it, always nice to sweeten a deal with some games.
As for selling your X1 tho, the MCC coming out next month, Halo 5 next year and news of the next gears of war game to keep in mind, if none of those things interest you then the PS4 could be an idea, saying that I never sell hardware so could just put it away in a spare room until games come out that you want if your cash allows you to (you'll get very little from most stores if you trade it + games in )
