Forums - Microsoft - Xbox Honcho Phil Spencer Wants to Rethink the Parity Clause; Acknowledges Gamers’ High Expectations

Keep the parity clause, 97% of indies are garbage anyway and MSFT makes sure the better can pass through the process. There hasn't been one great indie game that has came for ps4 and skipped XB1 and Spencer has already confirmed his interest in popular games like No Man's Sky, unless sony ends u buying exclusivity. Also I wouldn't want to keep waiting for devs to develop XB1 version after the ps4 version.

Not to mention people focus on the games coming out at the same time, but people never mention the free devkits and other benefits of the id@xbox program,

LOL.

People are so quick to jump and praise Phil. Do you really think he'd be so nice if they weren't getting their ass kicked by the PS4? I doubt it.

You are right ... there has been way more then 1

Dust: an Elysian Tail
Olli Olli
Hotline Miami
War thunder
Transistor
Towerfall Ascension
Resogun
Trine 2
Anomly 2
Awesomenauts
Velocity 2x
Sound Shapes

Now just because you might not consider these games to be great, does not mean  they aren't.
And you really want to keep something (Parity Clause) that will keep you from playing games becuase they were on a another system first?

not sure about the others but dust an elisian tail came out on 360... I know if finished it...

anyway where I agree is most of the big indies that are potential money makers get through the parity clause..... It's really a false issues when it comes to big indie titles... For the smaller no name studios that's an other issues and for gamers too

Without looking into those titles, I'm pretty sure I played Dust, Awesomenauts and Trine 2. (on a Xbox platform)

You show the big mistake with the parity clause with Dust.

It was console exclusive on 360 last gen and this gen it is console exclusive to PS4 due the parity clause... and it just will be a Xbone version if MS alow them to skip this clause.

Indies focused on MS consoles are now avoiding it.

What I wrote up.

Awesomenauts is currently announced for the Xbox One as well.

I can see what you mean for the larger studios.

But with the games he said XBone not 360

Trully speaking Xbox shouldn't even waste marketplace space with most indie garbage.

A lot of first party Arcade (you guys call indies) are well better produced and are sold for the same price.
