Yes and most of them already own a computer. They gave up on consoles. However from what it looks like Xbox one did pretty good. These artcle's always give me a laugh. This says absolutely nothing, always gives us zero insight. It's like my telling you the weather in chicago and your expecting the same in LA. Or me telling you my cousin heard from his cousin that his sister got some info from the neighbor, that will help me with potato.

It's the same globally though.I still see tons of X1s on shelves in MD which is the US and you see the global sales monthly are not that good.

yes, they did good

what this article shows is that consoles won't be mainstream in china any time soon - probably never - but even a "niche" in China can mean selling millions of consoles, which should be good for the console business

especially if they can make up for expected low software sales by selling the hardware with a good profit

It's 100 k shipped. Where do you see over 100k sold ? In a forum ? Please don't tell me you believed this rumor with the 100k preorders.

Ms himself never said 100k soldthough, because it's not.

Even vgchartz say they only sold 50-80k in china first week, and it's probably a little too much.

Bahahahaha

Pink grey or turquoise market unless it is straight up stolen goods a sold XBOX is a sold XBOX... I live in Europe and imported mine from the US...
And even stolen the one is still nit hacked or at very least the XBL isn't so even in that worst case scenario MS is still potentially generating revenue...

Anyway XBox is doing just fine and will be profitable by the end of its life cycle case closed...

It will be interesting to see how much the PS4 outsells the Xbone in China... It's not a super big home console market, but it is very PlayStation-leaning and has been that way since the PS1.
