I always thought it was at least a little underestimated, but if being sold-to is true and digital not being absurd, then this is pretty interesting.

@ironmanDX; But Outlaw said that there would be more copies on the shelf due to that. If gamers are hungry for games, there would be less copies on the shelf. Unless Nintendo way overshot this one.

How does that affect how many games are on shelves?

Because retailers will be willing to stock a big 3DS game because there hasn't been a big one for months. There's very little risk that they won't be able to sell out. It's much like why Activision was able to ship so much of Destiny. There wasn't a big game since watch_dogs.

Honestly, i think that Smash Bros for 3DS have sold around 700,000 in USA, and 450,000 in Europe.
