I'll use the GameCube if the wires for the adapter are long enough. If not, I'll change the button layout for the GamePad. Making X special move, Y normal attack, B jump, and A for grab is a nice setup for the SNES button layout.

pro pad. loved Roy but I couldn't play Melee at my N64 level. Kirby was number 1. on Melee, I was lucky to die/lose.
Gonna use pro, not gonna use GC cuz I don't wanna buy the adapter but I might pick up the fight pads and also try out using the 3DS

The GameCube controller is the only correct answer.
