Why am I not allowed to insult users who make stupid threads over and over again?

Because you should report the users and signal the threads to us. We track patterns of these things so repeat offenders are, indeed, acted upon. It's something that will hopefully be more rigorous soon, but you'll have to wait a little longer for that.

Because if you insult the user, then you're no better than the user and the problem is never resolved. Instead of actually having good, decent discussion, we just have toxic discussions of users attacking each other and saying "it's a ____ thread, figures". Actually making note of such users and clamping down on such behaviour is so much better than just insulting another user, both for the site and for you. Do you not agree?

Some users have been making these idiotic threads over and over again. They're not breaking any rules so the mods won't do anything. The threads are just dumb. If you guys let me insult them then maybe this would discourage them from making more dumb threads. Tough love you know? Or you guys can insult them yourselves.

Blocking would work perfectly for that.
