LordLichenstein has had two warnings within a month; given the nature of his comment and what he was warned for, a 1 day ban in this instance seemed too generous. Similarly, a 3 day ban was too harsh. Fortunately if you note when I banned him, it will be only a 2 day ban (had I banned him when I did for a day he would have been back in an hour or so), and that seemed like a just punishment.

Hello, I would like to ask why this post (http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6989600 ) got me a 1 day ban but posts such as this made in the same thread (http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6989625) went unnoticed when it was clearly pointing at my comment and replacing the words "Pc Master Race" in my comment with "Useless f***** cunts".

On one hand, you are mocking/poking fun at them for no reason. On the other, DerNebel is laughing at an actual reaction from someone. The main difference is your comment is likely to piss people off while DerNebel's comment isnt. The intent behind the posts is key. Another moderator may see DerNebel's post differently, but thats my opinion on it.

Seriously though, my advice would be to not enter into a "bad news" thread laughing and poking fun at people.

And I really dont understand why you spoilered/starred fucking instead of cunts. That made me laugh a little

@ Second paragraph: I know that what I have done IS bad though the punishment for that comment should not have been a ban, but I know you are human like everyone else and we all have different opinions and you therefore saw that as a ban worthy post.

I see no real malicious intent behind those posts, wheras yours was nothing but direclty laughing at them and mocking the "master race". In hindsight though, looking over the thread again, maybe I was too harsh with the day ban when others were having fun with it.

Ill reduce it to a warning, so if you get moderated for something again you wont see an extended ban. Sorry for the inconvenience.

can you get banned for negativity? The hot topics lately have been 90% nintendo related. So I've been commentating in nintendo threads way more than usual lately. I've not much positive to say about nintendo and 80% of them are negative posts but do note i'm always being honest and stating my opinion (not trolling). I know the mods here are very pro nintendo so am i risking a ban by this?

Just because a mod is pro- Nintendo or pro-Sony, that doesn't mean they will ban someone for being negative. If you say you don't like the look of the game because you aren't a fan of the genre, say, then that's not too bad. If however you say a game looks shit then that could be interpreted as trolling.

The most important thing is intent and content in these scenarios, and the best advice I can give is to explain your points so it's obvious you aren't trolling.

I honestly think some mods are biased but it's not too bad and we're all human afterall.  I'd be more afraid of the big ninty fanbase reporting me a lot and that will pressurise some mods into giving the people what they want. 

As regards the negativity I hardly ever say wii u games are shit because I know they're high quality even though they are no longer to my taste whatsoever.  My nintendo negativity is more to do with their hardware sales and their future as a hardware manufacturer.  I feel like I'm saying the same thing over and over because the front page has been poluted with nintendo doom and savior threads.
