Yeah, I dont see anything about the post that would be trolling or really warrant a banning either... Unless he has a history of these types of posts and they are just getting tired of his crap?  Now, i can see an argument for being off topic maybe, it certainly is the type of post that can derail a thread and lead to trolling, but I dont think he had crossed that line yet...

That's the rule for trolling. I don't see anwhere that I slammed a particular platform without basis. In my original post I said Nintendo were overrated, although I also said 'They have made some very good games, there's no denying that' so that's really not slamming them. Somebody replies saying they are probably the best developers in the world. My response is to say that people calling them that proves my point of them being overrated, which it kind of does (if no one said that I certainly wouldn't have any basis behind my argument at all now would I?). That's the post I got the ban for, I can't see how that is trolling. Maybe it could have done without the , but that's only one smiley.

Then there is the 'In addition to posts like these' which would have contributed to the ban (if not why list them?).

For that to contribute to a ban is just ridiculous! I'm agreeing with him! As I said before I wasn't slamming Nintendo, I admitted they were good developers and was doing so again here.

Again on the 'you are clearly not interested in having an open discussion' part of the ban reason, that's not true. Reading the thread you can clearly see I was having an open discussion with padib. Not once did I insult anyone or anything. It doesn't seem like we were going to agree, but there was an open discussion and disagreeing isn't against the rules.

Finally the ban reason said 'There has been 2 stern warnings in this thread already and yet you continue'. I assume it is referring to the warnings by Mr Khan http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6962763 and Conegamer http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6962647.
Those were warnings not to use the word fanboy and not to do any personal attacks. I never did either at any point. I never started with anything against the warnings let alone continued with it.

So I can't really see what I've been banned for here. At the very least one of the posts mentioned in the ban reason definitely should not have been there or had anything to do with a ban, but are the other 2 really that bad either?

Yeah it seems like my general posting activity has been completely replaced by mod duties and participating in mod chat...which is usually discussing forum rules, trouble users and most of all moderations.

From my perspective...the amount of time i spend on vgchartz related stuff has actually increased significantly since becomming a mod although the community prob wont see this

I just hope my contribution as a mod comes through.
