That's something you'll have to ask him. I suggest a PM, but I'll be sure to forward him to the thread when he's next online.

I raised this a few hours ago on mod chat but people aren't online yet.

I assume Dallinor deleted the content, common mistake for new mods (a few of us, including myself, did it when we came on).

Assuming thats the case I am sure we can let it go, being a mod is a difficult learn-on-the-job type thing!

Cut the new mods some slack, ka-pi!

New moderator issue #1.  Got a warning for this.  First off i didnt call somebody a troll, i said the thread itself was trolling, which it is(which also isnt against the rules).  Its a joke thread AKA trolling

Im not flaiming or anythign.  Simply edited my comment because he originally fooled me.  I really do not want to go through the growing pains of new mods all over again this year because frankly, it took way too long last year(earlier this year).  I want this stuff fixed much sooner, and it saddens me my first complaint is about Raven out of everybody

Yeah, this post calls it a lame joke attempt but mine apparently is offensive somehow -_-

And you know i want to actually extend further on my point.

I have done troll threads before "BREAKING NEWS! Naughty Dog going third party!!!"

And the only reason this wasnt locked was because it had a point which was to not believe every rumor you hear on the internet since we had like 100 rumors at that time with XBO and PS4.

And when someone said i was trolling i sure as hell didnt get offended because that was exactly what i was doing and i knew that.  Just like DonFerrari knew what he was doing, except his thread didnt even have a point to it.

Im sorry but just as i said in a pm, this moderation is very nitpicky and isnt using common sense at all.  Im no stranger to these type of threads and i dont see how you can moderate anybody for a post like that when it is true and even the OP knows it, and on top of that the thread itself can be considered both baiting and trolling and spam on top of that.  Yet the thread its  self isnt locked.  Makes absolute zero sense.  You either moderate the thread or leave the comments as is calling it out

I'm not sure if this has been resolved yet, either in PM (between Raven and Jay), but I'm not seeing any mod comment since the 3 hours elapsed. I agree with Jay when it comes down to voicing his disconcern with this particular moderation warning. I just don't think it's best to moderate based on what "can be interpreted". The nature of the thread was a joke/trolling thread IMO. That doesn't mean he (Jay) went to call out the OP, when he called out the nature of the thread, NOT the OP himself. 

That's just my two cents though. 

Guys a troll thread is created to purposefully get a rise out of people. Don's thread was done out of pure jest.

To call his thread a troll thread is to imply that Dons was purposefully trying to troll people, whereas in this case it was a very obvious joke, with no malicious intent behind it.

@Jay if you felt it was a troll thread report it and move on. Thats all what the warning is about.

In any case that my opinion on the matter.

@Jay you also reported the thread. Which means you felt it was a troll thread that needed to be moderated.

If you look at the rules, it clearly says report when you feel someone is trolling. Do not make a post about the fact that you think trolling is going on. I think the rule is very clear on that. This is what the warning is about.

@Slade, Jay and Smeags are in contact regarding the situation through PM. We are not ignoring it.

Jay, the thread is there as a joke thread. That much is obvious. There's no malice, there's nothing wrong in the OP, and there's no need for your response. You reported the thread; that should have been that. Instead you posted the comment and were moderated for it. That should have been that. Instead you've been discussing it via PM with numerous moderators, and you've also been posting it in here. 

All you needed to do, was report the thread. Instead you went too far. Now would be a good time to accept that you made a mistake and move on.
